Mosaic Motors replaces brake pads on all makes and models. We measure your pads and rotors, explain what we find, and give you a written estimate before any work begins.
Brake pads should be replaced when they wear down to about 3 mm (1/8 inch) of pad material, or when you hear squealing or grinding. Most brake pads last between 30,000 and 70,000 miles. Heavy stop-and-go traffic wears them faster.
Some brake noises come from the pads. Others point to rotors or calipers. An inspection shows which part is worn.

Most brake pad replacements take about one hour per axle.
Not always. Front pads usually wear faster than rear pads. Pads are always replaced in pairs on the same axle, either both front or both rear.
The pads wear down to the metal backing and damage the rotors, which makes the repair more expensive. Stopping distance also increases.
Not always. Rotors only need to be replaced if they are below the minimum thickness, warped, cracked or deeply scored.
